FEMA COVID-19 Funeral Assistance

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought overwhelming grief to many families. At FEMA, their mission is to help people before, during and after disasters. They are dedicated to helping ease some of the financial stress and burden caused by the virus.

Under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, FEMA will provide up to $9,000 of financial assistance for COVID-19-related funeral expenses incurred after January 20, 2020.

Application Period Opened on April 12, 2021.
The COVID-19 incident period ended on May 11, 2023.
FEMA will continue to provide funeral assistance until Sept. 30, 2025, to those who have lost loved ones due to this pandemic.

No online applications will be accepted.

It is important to gather all necessary information and documentation before applying for assistance. This will help us take the application and process it in a timely manner.
