Carolyn Cinpinski Rusiewicz
83, of Lower Burrell, died Saturday July 5, 2025 in her home. She was born in Leechburg on December 10, 1941 to the late Burton and Kathryn Nadybal Cinpinski and had been a resident of Lower Burrell for the past 58 years.
She grew up in Gilpin Twp. and graduated from Leechburg High School in 1959 where she was a co-head majorette. She then went on to Shadyside School of nursing. After receiving her RN license, she went on to anesthesia school to be a certified registered nurse anesthetist. She worked as a CRNA for Allegheny Valley Hospital and later UPMC Surgery Center in Monroeville until retiring at age 75. She also had a secondary lifelong career working with her husband at Rusiewicz Funeral Homes. She was a member of St. Magaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell and enjoyed talking on the phone, laughing, telling jokes, watching tv, cheering on the Steelers and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, William R. Rusiewicz, two sons Robert S. (former wife Marci Sturgeon-Rusiewicz) Rusiewicz II of Oakmont, William W (Toni) Rusiewicz of Lower Burrell, nine grandchildren Bryson, Brittany (Abdi), Brandy, Brinley, Brianna, and Brayley Dunn, and Ivan, Nikolai, and Remington Rusiewicz, two brothers Daniel Cinpinski of Natrona Heights, and Richard (Christine) Cinpinski of Cary, N.C., sister-in-law Roberta S. Rusiewicz of Allegheny Twp., numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and her granddog Deputy that lived with her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Kristen Rusiewicz Dunn and sisters-in-law Caren and Kathleen Cinpinski.
Friends will be received Monday from 6-8 PM, Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Rd. at Alder St. where Prayers of Transfer will be said Wednesday at 9:30 AM followed by Christian Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Margaret Mary Church.
